Doctor/TARDIS. The Only OTP. The Truest OTP. You know I’m right.
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Not only is the TARDIS my favorite ship, but The Doctor & the TARDIS are also my favorite ship. I mean, let’s face it. She’s never left his side. She regenerates herself along with him, to keep up appearances. He’s been inside her. It’s meant to be.
Well, we’re at similar stages in life, we treat relationships in a similar way (at least before the giant wtf?! that was her being married to Mickey, which doesn’t make any sense), we’re stubborn and sometimes bossy, we like taking situations into our own hands, we’re snarky (in an endearing way), we’re smart, inquisitive, quick witted, loyal, and know when to walk away.
I’m not sure I’ve ever actually cried while watching Doctor Who. But I definitely teared up a bit during the Musée d’Orsay sequence in “Vincent and the Doctor.”
How about this: favorite episode of Torchwood. That’s Doctor Who related, right?
Well, “Children of Earth” takes the prize hands-down. I’m not the biggest Torchwood fan ever, but “Children of Earth” was absolutely unbelievably good television. Proof that RTD can actually end something in a way that is satisfying, heartbreaking, and not totally whack-job crazy. Good job, RTD. Good job.
