It's been nearly two months, oops!
i defended on June 13th (yes, Friday the 13th! ah!), passed (thank goodness), did all sorts of revisions and additions in two days, got it to my graduate coordinator on June 16th, and had it off to the OhioLink Thesis & Dissertation database later that day. May and June were a whirlwind of thesis action. And good LORD am I glad it's over.
Now I'm trying to get my act together to move. Well, I will be when I'm back in Ohio. I've spent this whole week at my parents' place, watching tons of baseball and buying too much yarn (is there really such a thing as too much yarn?) at the many amazing local yarn shops in DuPage. Tuesday I went to Knitche, and today I went to Wool & Co. It's been great.
For those of you in-the-know, hopefully you've seen Beast with a Billion Backs. It's great. And the next one looks even more great. The nerd in me is very excited.

Hey now brown cow.
Right now I'm working on my analytical chapter on the title themes of each film. For your viewing pleasure, here are the title sequences:

Seriously, check this out!

If it wasn't so crazy expensive I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Damn. How fun is that?

Thesis: Proposed 03/17/2008

I have written my proposal and had it approved. Holy crap! The title is:

A Fistful of Drama: A study of musical form in the Dollars Trilogy

Witty, yet still cliche. Perfect. I think I'll put up a PDF version at some point.

Additionally, I have accepted UT's offer.
