Thanks! I’m onto the lace section now, and bizarrely it does seem straighter already than it did earlier on… I guess I’ll just have to wait and see how it turns out. Thanks for the encouragement!

Well, it’s not a straight line on the edge of the shawl. It’s meant to curve a but, though it’s definitely not circular. It has kind of a swallowtail kind of thing, if that makes sense. When you block it, make sure you pin the edge as straight as you can. That’ll help. Blocking is magical! Good luck!

Hi Emily, I just found your ishbel on ravelry and followed links here. It’s gorgeous! I have just cast one on in silk garden sock in blues/purples, and am wondering if yours curls round a lot on the top garter stitch edge? I don’t know if it’s my tension or the yarn (not stretchy) but mine is curving round a lot and I’m not sure I want a shawl that curls round in a circle… did yours do this? I haven’t seen any pictures of one laid out flat!
Would love some reassurance…. Thanks!
