After the disaster that was my day today, I thought I’d do something positive … like post here about the hat I finished a few days ago.

Rose Red

Rose Red
Why yes, I did make another Rose Red! It’s pretty much my favorite pattern of all time. I love Ysolda‘s stuff. I went back to Rowan Felted Tweed on this one. Holy crap do I love that yarn.
And here’s a sneak peak at my current endeavor:

The title is, like, a quadruple pun. I’m good like that … sometimes.
Pun #1: only old grandmas crochet.

Fan Scarf 2

Close-up of the awesomeness
(As far as I know, my grandmother does not knit or crochet. Eat it, stereotype!)
Pun #2: Haydn’s Symphony #37 came on my Last.fm radio station while writing this post.
Pun #3: 1960s science fiction television + sleek 21st-century technology.

TARDIS iPod Cozy

The iPod has the Phone Box
It’s (30GB) bigger on the inside.
Pun #4: If you know where my entry titles are from I shouldn’t have to say anything about this pun. Yes, the entry titles are from something. All of them, from the same thing (except the Color of the Week stuff and my Ten Days of Trek entries). Figure it out and I’ll give you an e-cookie.

Happy St. Valentine's Day!
I forgot to get a boyfriend again (whatever, I’m busy) so I decided to spend my Valentine’s Day with things I love.
Like my cat:

Love of my life, Charles Edward Ives.
And yarn:

Cascade 220

Cascade Ecological Wool

Noro Kureyon

Rowan Felted Tweed
The day also involved a trip to The Knitting Nest, where I met Ravelry’s Casey and Mary-Heather, and scored some fun free stuff!

The Knitting Nest

The Knitting Nest loves Ravelry.com (and so do I)!
I also picked up this amazing shirt:

Keep Austin Knitting
And when I stopped at Hill Country Weavers I got a free bag!

Hill Country Weavers Bag
It’s been a hectic but fun day! Meeting people, scoring swag, smiling from ear to ear. Just the way Valentine’s Day should be. I hope you all are having a fantastic day too! Now I’m off to bake some red Dalek cookies.

The Spring Phildar is up and I’m feeling inspired.

Little Black Dress

Cardigan Vest

Grey V-neck Pullover

Ultra Cute Cami
Some very very cute stuff. I love Phildar. I particularly like the vest, but I seem to be going through a vest phase right now. I just need to figure out how to order stuff from them. Being in France and all. Any suggestions?
